The participants will be divided into 2 groups. Hence the facilitators will have to present the cases twice. Each session will be 45 minutes

| Course description |
The patient’s history will be presented by doctors in Ipoh Hospital. The participants would be asked to examine & give their views. The facilitators will take turns to lead the discussion. There will be no division into smaller groups.

This workshop is co-organized by MEMS & the Department of Radiology, Hospital Ipoh
Lecturers: 2 radiologists, one endocrinologist or surgeon and one histopathologist.
Hands on experience facilitated by 3 radiologists and one histopathologist. |
| Course description |
Lectures - for 2.5 hours i.e. 10.30 to 1.00pm :
1. Normal Thyroid Ultrasound 2. Abnormal Thyroid Ultrasound 3. Thyroid nodule aspiration technique & basic cytology evaluation 4. Management algorithm of abnormal thyroid ultrasound findings.
Hands on: 3 hours
Participants will be divided into 4 groups.
The participants will have a chance to do ultrasound on patients with normal & abnormal thyroid ultrasound findings, do fine needle aspiration on specimens, technique of slide preparation & microscopic interpretation of aspirate to gauge adequacy.
